We all know wellness transcends further than what we put into our body, our skin is our biggest organ and
with that, there should be conscious thought as to what you put on your skin. I find we give a lot of
consideration into our skincare routine and often the ingredients of our makeup products comes as a
second thought to its performance. The woman that has been pioneering the way since 1994 with her
holistic approach to creating responsible, healthy makeup is Jane Iredale.

There are brains behind the brand, Iredale’s background as a casting director and producer in the
entertainment industry gave her firsthand insight into how makeup contributed to problem skin and lack of
confidence. Her simple thought was to create makeup that was good for the skin, a makeup that acted
more like skincare than cosmetics.

The most beautiful cosmetic you can wear is a healthy skin.

The brand ethos stems from enhancing natural beauty rather than conforming a face to the latest trends
(I’m looking at you ‘baking’ and ‘strobing’) and yes I’m definitely all about women feeling good in their
natural skin as a base! A true extension of skincare with clean mineral makeup formulas that nurture and
protect your skin and with products that are made without the three ingredients that usually irritate skin, for
all you sensitive honeys this is for you, no synthetic fragrance, synthetic preservatives or petroleum based
colourants.

The brands dedication to being cruelty-free also has us in high regard, Certified cruelty-free by CCIC (that’s
the cute Leaping Bunny you see on their products) and PETA for their voluntary commitment to no animal
testing. The brand’s mission extends beyond their products, supporting the Berkshire Humane Society.

The most loved product from the range, Jane’s first and still most sought-after product is her Amazing
Base Loose Mineral Powder with SPF20 from physical sunscreen actives that conceals redness and has
a soft focus effect (yes please). It’s also oil and synthetic chemical free and the minerals feel weightless on
the skin.
I also love the Active Light Concealer – conceals while brightening, an antioxidant formula for that dreaded
under-eye puff and with avocado and sunflower oil for the delicate area under the eye. The concealer
works as a facial highlighter refracting light for a soft focus finish.
And of course, I can’t go past a facial mist, my savior. The Pommist Hydration Spray is a powerful
antioxidant and UV protecting spray. White tea + rosemary leaf extracts soothe the skin and also give the
mist an amazing scent. This little magic bottle also has ECOCERT’s Natural and Organic certification, which
is just another reason I love.

The lip and eye pencils are made from the same ingredients meaning they are interchangeable; love a
multi-use makeup item!
