If you’re a fan of traditional protein balls, you are in for a real treat! As absolute coffee lovers, (YES you can still have coffee and be healthy) we’re always looking to sneak it into recipes wherever and whenever possible. We recently stumbled upon this combination when looking into methods that would maximize the health properties in a pre workout snack. These little energy balls combine caffeine, fibre, omega 3 and protein – they are the complete energizing snack, perfect to give you a lift before training or when you need a delicious pick-me-up.

These Coffee Protein balls are our new go-to fave and fit easily into a gym bag, sneaky desk drawer or handbag. Robust, sweet and so full of flavour, you may not want to tell anyone you’ve made them! That addictive.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cup raw cashews

2 scoops of protein of your choice

1 cup desiccated coconut

1 cup pitted dates

1 tbs chia seeds

2 1/2 tbs of freshly ground coffee (or to your liking)

1 tbs rice malt syrup

1 tsp stevia

1 tbs tahini

2 tbs cacao powder.

Method:

Blend all ingredients in a food processor until well combined.

Roll into balls and store in the fridge.
