Spring has sprung, and whilst we are yet to see its true colours, it’s time to wean out the comfort foods and lighten up our diets, wardrobes and the ever-growing electricity bill. Thanks heaters, you served your purpose this long, cold winter.
Lemon, the ultimate detoxifier, vitamin C booster and antibacterial hero is one of my favourite citrus fruits. While you wont see me chomping into this particular sour gem, you will see me add it to my daily routine, multiple times over. Besides adding lemon to my water upon rising, I like to make this simple lemonade to drink throughout the day. It’s fresh, delicious and thurst quenching. Next time you are looking to spruce up your BBQ or dinner, follow this recipe and reap the benefits of the glorious lemon.
